On June 15 there will be a digitization event in Vancouver, tentatively titled: Digitization Update: National and Provincial Collaborations. Topics the session will cover include:
(1) Carolynne Presser, Chair, Canadiana.org Marketing and Membership Committee and former University of Manitoba University Librarian, speaking on Canadiana’s initiatives at the national level and on the benefits of Canadiana membership;
(2) Update by the BC Digitization Coalition on collaboration efforts which have taken place since the BC Digitization Symposium in 2008;
(3) Digital Collection Builder (DCB): quick tour and overview of this free digitization software tool.
The event will take place at Simon Fraser University’s downtown Harbour Centre Campus, with a tentative time of 9 am to 1 pm. Event registration details will be posted to this site shortly. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend!
