West Beyond the West Portal
Technical Subcommittee recommended not passing newspaper OCR to Canadiana as it floods search results with newspaper pages over potentially more relevant results. Brian suggests clarifying with Canadiana whether or not there could be some technical solution that could filter out the full text and that could be toggled off or on.

5. Communications Update | Along with the WBTW branding alignment with the BCBib, logos will be created to accompany promotional materials for print, web and email.
Several emails planned where text can be passed along by Coalition members to their constituents or included in their own communications: WBTW Portal, Hosting Service, periodic updates about new additions.

Next Meeting: Hoping to have another meeting before the new year. Ideally we would like to have one face-to-face meeting and we’ll investigate using skype for those wishing to attend remotely. A portion of the next meeting will be dedicated to a strategy discussion. |
